February is LGBT History Month, what is your school doing to celebrate the lives, history and achievements of the LGBT community?
The impact of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people can be felt right through a schools curriculum, make sure your school is doing something to celebrate that this LGBT History Month.
The poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy, war poet Wilfred Owen, Rugby star Gareth Thomas, Tennis legend Martina Natravilova, actors Sir Ian McKellen and John Barrowman, musicians Beth Ditto and Elton John, and where would we be without Alan Turing? The man responsible for inventing the computer and breaking the enigma code, making a massive contribution to science, IT and history.
All these familiar names identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual. Celebrate them, and the LGBT community this LGBT History Month!
